The Greeneville Light & Power System’s board of directors on Monday approved a request from the Greeneville Soccer Association to lease land for a soccer park on Tennessee Highway 172, the Baileyton Road.

“It’s an opportunity for recreation for the community, as you all know, and I don’t see any way that it will hurt our operations at all,” GL&PS General Manager Bill Carroll told the board.

The Boys had a fantastic weekend.

We had 20 goals in 4 games. Our offense and defense did exceptionally well against a strong field of opponents.

Prather Moorleghen, substitute goalie while Andrew heals from a broken collarbone, only gave up 4 goals in 4 games.

Everyone's proud of how well the U-14 girls did this past weekend. They had an uphill battle but persevered. This was their first win against The Hotspurs and it was the one win they needed to become the finalists.
